    CPS – Carrier Pre-Selection

    IDA – Indirect Access

    EDI - Electronic Data Interchange

    CPE –  Customer Premises Equipment

    LCR – Low Cost Routing

    PBX – Telephone System

    PSTN – Single or Multiple Analogue Telephone Line

    ISDN – Digital Telephone Line

    ISDN 2 – Pair of digital lines, for voice or data

    ISDN2 Complex – 2 or more digital lines for a telephone system,
    max 4 x ISDN2 giving 8 lines

    ISDN30e – Digital lines for a telephone system, 8 to 30 lines

    ISDN DASS – no longer available – digital lines that can be partitioned by billing number – 1 to 30 lines

    DDI – Direct Dial Inbound – individual telephone numbers

    SNDDI – Single Number Direct Dial Inbound

    CLIP – Caller Line Identity Presentation

    CLOP – Connected Line Identity Presentation

    CLIR – Calling Line Identity Restriction

    COLR – Connected Line Identity Restriction

    ICB – Permanent Incoming Barring

    NTE – Network Terminating Equipment

    CPE – Customer Premises Equipment

    CR – Caller Redirect – ceases the line and forwards the call to another telephone number

    Monthly option affects the call divert for one month then stops

    Quarterly option is ongoing

    Admin Call Forward/ Admin Call Diversion – calls are forwarded to an alternative telephone number, but the lines are not ceased

    NGN - Next Generation Network

    MSANs - Multi-Service Access Mode

 

Inbound

    NTS – Number Translation Service – the service distribution for all non-geographic numbers
    i.e. 0800/0845 etc numbers that are not attached to a fixed  telephone line.

    DN – Dialled Number

    Labels – The destination number for a NTS number.

    ISE – Internet Script Editor

    Schedule Target – Used to limit the number of concurrent calls
